Olympic Fever!

I've got it, and it will not seem to cease. U-S-A #1!
So far the obviously exciting events por moi have been the beach volleyball, swimming and gymnastics.
The men's beach volleyball team of Phil Dalhausser and Todd Rogers are an amazingly entertaining team to watch and I would highly recommend doing so if able. Rogers, nicknamed "the Professor" is the coach of the team and has groomed Dalhausser from a gawky blocker to the second-ranked player in the world with a wicked jump serve and devastating stuff-blocks. It should also be mentioned for good measure that Dalhausser, nicknamed "the Thin Beast", looks like a giant James Carville. Welcome to the Dal-Haus world!
In the pool the obvious story turns to Michael Phelps who has racked up six golds so far and twelve total for America. He is no doubt the golden boy and deserves all the attention of the greatest olympian in history, but I shall turn mine to the man who saved the record for him. Lets chat about Mr. Jason Lezak! His split in the 4x100 free relay to chase down the French world record holder was 1.5 seconds faster than he has ever swam in his life! AHHHH! I cannot reiterate enough how hard it is to take THAT MUCH off your time. Plus, the French made it extra sweet for the US. Before the games started, the French anchor (and the man whom Lezak caught) told publications they were going to "Smash the Americans". Well well well, suck it France*.
Finally, women's gymnastics. Nastia Liukin took home the gold in the all-around last night with U.S. teammate Shawn Johnson bringing home the silver. Liukin is probably the most graceful gymnast I have ever seen. Also, she actually looks like a woman! Thats right, not a genetically engineered 12 year old who hasn't seen her parents in years, a real girl. If you have a chance and have not already seen it, watch her uneven bars, and beam routines--- AMAZING! Also, there is no freaking way all of those Chinese girls are 16 or older. Just look at them! Go America!
